The most basic cricket bet markets are very straightforward, however some bet markets can be more complex in nature, especially when taking into account the logic behind bet settlement.
We understand this can cause some confusion. As such, this article will serve as a guide to better understand cricket betting markets and how they are settled.
Important:
Note that some bets can be placed for the entire series, so please ensure you select the bet market appropriately. Once a bet is confirmed in the betslip, it cannot be reversed.
To Win/3-way
To Win assumes that one team will win the match. Therefore the bet will be placed either on Team 1 winning or Team 2 winning. On the other hand, 3-way betting takes into account the possibility of a draw between the two teams, so the user can bet on Team 1 winning, Team 2 winning or both Team 1 and Team 2 drawing.
For example, if the Client is betting on Ireland vs Bangladesh, and the Client places a bet on Ireland winning, the Client is betting that Ireland will win the match.
Example of a "to win" market on the Tamasha website:
Example of a "3-way" market on the Tamasha website:
Key Notes:
In matches affected by adverse weather, bets will be settled according to the official result.
If there is no official result, all bets will be void.
In the case of a tie, if the official competition rules do not determine a winner, dead-heat rules will apply.
If a match is abandoned due to external factors, bets will be void, unless a winner is declared based on the official competition rules.
If a match is cancelled and it is not replayed or resumed within 48 hours of the advertised start time, all bets will be void. If there is a change to the originally advertised teams, all bets will be void.
Double Chance
Double Chance is a type of bet whereby the user can choose from three options of Team 1 or Team 2 wins, Team 1 wins or draw, and Team 2 wins or draw. This option gives the client a higher chance of betting on the correct outcome and as a result means that the payout will be lower because the odds value is lower.
For example, if the Client is betting on India vs Australia, and the Client places a bet on the "No Draw" option, the Client is betting that either India or Australia will win.
